Column Arts Agency are delighted to announce that a wonderful new illustrator has joined our ranks.
Joel Millerchip is an artist that likes to translate briefs into visual stories of curly-haired characters, fantastic beasts, and distorted scenes.
Working from his Suffolk studio, Joel draws influence from talking to ‘real’ people, his own warped memories, and mythology. He is also a founding member of illustrators collective Brothers Of The Stripe.
Joel specialises in pure black and white illustration, storytelling, character design, hand-rendered type, murals, and workshops. He has worked for the likes of Timberland UK, National Trust, and the V&A.
Column founder, William Astbury, said: “Joel has been a friend of the Column for sometime and we have been following his work closely.
“His beautiful series ‘Patchwork’ really struck a cord with us so we have invited him to come on board and join as a member of our illustration agency.
“We are now looking to have Joel produce a series of children’s books with us.”
Joel added: “The opportunity to work with an agency that specialises in advertising and publishing such as Column is a massive boost to my confidence and focus.
“I’m looking forward to the challenges that future clients set me as a Column Artist. TA WILL!”
