Triple Hop is an illustration and beer exhibition that is a collaboration between Column Arts Agency, independent craft beer producers Honest Brew and arts events agency Test Space. The exhibition is beer-themed and brings together the noble pursuits of drawing and boozing.

There will be three parts to the show. A 10-day traditional gallery exhibition at 14 Warren Street, a bespoke beer tasting evening / live brewing session / live art and a BYOB (bring your own brew) launch party in the gallery.

The tasting, live brewing and live draw evening takes place on Thursday 24 October 2013 in the gallery. Attendees will be able to participate in tasting five unique collaboration beers and witness the brewing process live while chatting with the beer gurus Honest Brew! Not only have the artists created limited edition packaging designs, they have also made bespoke art that relates to beers, the brewing process and getting hammered in general. There will also be a range of customised beer-related items (coasters, bottle openers etc) on display too.

On Friday 25 October 2013 there will be a free BYOB event in the gallery space where attendees will be able to mingle, take-in the art and make merry.

William Astbury, Founder of Column Arts Agency, said: “We have been looking to do a collaboration event with Test Space for a very long time and surprisingly we came up with the idea for Triple Hop after a shandy or two.

“Getting to work with Honest Brew has been absolutely amazing . It’s been a real eye-opener brewing our own beer and all the experimenting was fun too.

“I’m excited about all the all the art that is being shown. There are a real range of styles not only among the exhibited works but among the limited edition label designs.

Honest Brew’s Annabel Causer added: “At Honest Brew we want to help people discover really good beer. We’re really pleased to be teaming up with Column Arts Agency and Test Space to bring Triple Hop to life.

“Combining two of our passions – beer and art – it will be a great chance for people to get to know more about beer and also to take home their very own piece of artwork beer.”

Neil Owen, Founder of Test Space said “ Creating our own ltd beer with Honest Brew and Column was great fun. We’ve worked on pop up restaurants before and it’s always exciting to develop new collaborations that mix art with food and drink.

“Art and drinking seems to be a good combination. Seeing the craft and design that goes into making the beers was also a nice parallel to the work that has been done the artists to create work for the labels and the show.”
